7 Best lemlist Alternatives in 2026 (Verified Pricing)
Most lemlist alternatives guides quote the wrong price. We checked lemlist's own pricing page on 5 Aug 2026 and ranked 7 real swaps.

Most guides ranking for lemlist alternatives quote a lemlist price that lemlist does not charge. The ones we checked disagreed with each other, disagreed with lemlist.com/pricing, and described a plan lineup that was retired over a year ago. So here is the correction first: lemlist's entry plan, called Email, is $69/mo billed monthly or $55/mo billed annually — flat, for the whole workspace, with unlimited users and unlimited email senders, metered on 50,000 emails per month. It is not per seat. Prices last verified: 5 August 2026.
Per seat is the other plan. Multichannel is $109 per user per month billed monthly, $87 per user per month billed annually, with five sending inboxes per seat and $9 per extra email per month above that. That is the plan people are actually leaving: five reps on annual billing is $435/mo, or $5,220 a year, before a single enrichment credit. Which of the two plans you are on completely changes which alternative is cheaper — and no listicle that treats lemlist as a single per-seat price can tell you that.
This guide ranks seven lemlist alternatives and states, for every one of them, the unit the bill is charged on: per workspace, per seat, per identity, per contacted prospect, per uploaded contact or per credit. Scope note: these are sending platforms — email and multichannel sequencers. Standalone warmup tools are a different category and we cover them separately.
The short answer
- Leaving because per-seat costs got out of hand and you only send email → Meetbound. Flat monthly price by mailbox tier, from $19.99/mo, with warmup included and no per-mailbox warmup fee.
- Leaving because you need far more sending inboxes or client workspaces → Smartlead. $39/mo ($32.50 billed annually), flat per workspace, unlimited email accounts at every tier — but read the caps: 6,000 sends a month at that price, and the warmup pool costs $59/mo extra until you reach $174.
- Leaving because multichannel is too expensive, not email → La Growth Machine. LinkedIn, email, X and calls in one sequence from EUR 60 per identity per month (EUR 50 billed annually).
- Leaving on pure budget, email only → Saleshandy. $25/mo on annual billing ($36 month-to-month), no cap on connected email accounts, metered on 2,000 active prospects.
Where we are biased, stated up front. You are reading a comparison written by one of the competitors. This is Meetbound's blog, Meetbound sells a cold email platform, and Meetbound is at number one — on one narrow axis: flat monthly cost for an email-first team, with warmup included. Where that is not your axis, the entry says so and names someone else. Concretely: if you are leaving lemlist because you want cheaper multichannel, Meetbound is the wrong answer — no LinkedIn automation, no dialer. Go to #3 or #5.
Start here: why are you leaving lemlist?
- "The per-seat bill got out of hand." You are on Multichannel at $87–$109 per user per month. Your fix is the flat-rate group: Meetbound, Smartlead, Saleshandy or Emelia — none of which charge by headcount.
- "I need more sending inboxes, or client workspaces." Your fix is the unlimited-inbox group: Smartlead (unlimited email accounts from $39/mo, plus $29/mo client workspaces) or Saleshandy ($25/mo annual, unlimited email accounts).
- "I need cheaper multichannel, not cheaper email." Do not switch to an email-only tool and hope. Look at La Growth Machine (per identity) or Reply.io (per seat, widest channel coverage). Both are covered in full below.
- "I am also comparing Instantly." Different trap, same lesson: read what Instantly actually costs once you stack the modules before you compare its headline price with lemlist's.
What lemlist actually costs in 2026
Every figure below comes from lemlist.com/pricing or lemlist's own help center, checked on 5 August 2026. Where lemlist's pages contradict each other, we say so rather than picking the flattering number.
The Email plan is flat-rate, not per seat
The Email plan card reads $69 → $55 /month, Unlimited users, 50,000 emails /mo. The feature matrix ticks "unlimited users and email senders" for the Email column and leaves it blank for Multichannel and Enterprise. So the meter is monthly email volume, not seats and not inboxes — an unusual model in this category, and the single most-missed fact in comparison posts.
| Emails per month | Billed monthly | Billed quarterly (save 10%) | Billed annually (save 20%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50,000 | $69 | $62 | $55 |
| 100,000 | $89 | $80 | $80 (see note) |
| 200,000 | $159 | $143 | $127 |
| 500,000 | $359 | $323 | $287 |
| 1,000,000 | $659 | $593 | $527 |
Two caveats. First, the 100,000-email annual price equals its quarterly price; every other tier follows the −10% / −20% pattern, so 20% off $89 should be $71.20. We report it as published and flag it as a probable error in lemlist's own CMS. Second, a comparison table further down the same pricing page carries the header "Email — From $55 /user /mo", which contradicts the plan card higher up the same page. The feature matrix resolves it in favor of the card: Email is flat.
Multichannel is per seat — and that is where the cost bites
Multichannel is $109 per user per month monthly, $99 quarterly, $87 per user per month billed annually. It includes five senders per user, and lemlist's own pricing-page tooltip prices extras at "$9 /email /mo". WhatsApp automation is a separate $20 per user per month add-on, not included. Enterprise is custom-quoted and positioned at teams of five or more users.
- 5 SDRs, annual billing: 5 × $87 = $435/mo ($5,220/yr) for 25 sending inboxes.
- Same 5 SDRs needing 40 inboxes: $435 + (15 × $9) = $570/mo.
- 5 SDRs on monthly billing: 5 × $109 = $545/mo.
- Add WhatsApp for all five: +$100/mo on top of whichever line above applies.
Credits: zero on Email, 400 per user per month on Multichannel
lemlist meters enrichment, verification, AI actions and calling in credits at 1 credit = $0.01 (1,000 credits for $10). A verified email costs 5 credits, email verification alone 1, a LinkedIn enrichment 1, a phone number 20, an SMS 6, calling 4 credits per billed minute, a website-visitor identification 20, and hiring or funding signals 100 credits each.
The allowance is the part that catches people. Per lemlist's help center, the Email plan includes zero free credits; Multichannel includes 400 per user per month — about 80 verified emails, or 20 phone numbers. A rep prospecting 1,000 new contacts a month needs 5,000 credits, which is $50 per seat on top of an $87 seat: roughly 57% above sticker. Free credits reset each cycle and do not roll over; purchased credits roll over and survive cancellation. Note also that lemlist's pricing page prices LinkedIn engagement signals "from 400 credits" while its help center says 50 — we could not resolve that, so treat it as unconfirmed.
The plan names in most guides no longer exist
"Email Starter", "Email Pro", "Multichannel Expert" and "Outreach Scale" are retired. The current lineup is Email / Multichannel / Enterprise. Any 2026 article still using the old four-plan names is pre-2025 content with a fresh date stamped on it — and its credit allowances are wrong too. lemlist's own CMS still carries the legacy internal slug for the plan it now displays as "Multichannel", which is how you can tell it is a rename rather than a new plan.
What other guides claim lemlist costs, and what lemlist says
Six claims we found repeated across the guides currently ranking for lemlist pricing 2026, each set against the vendor page. We have not named the individual publishers, because the same errors appear in several of them and the point is the error, not the author.
| The claim you will see in other guides | Why it is wrong | What lemlist.com/pricing said on 5 Aug 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| "lemlist starts at $59/user/mo across four plans ($59 / $79 / $99 / $159)" | Describes the retired Email Starter / Email Pro / Multichannel Expert / Outreach Scale lineup | Three plans: Email, Multichannel, Enterprise. Email is $69/mo monthly, $55/mo billed annually |
| "lemlist is priced per seat" | True of Multichannel only; copied across the whole lineup | The Email card reads "Unlimited users", and "unlimited users and email senders" is ticked for Email alone |
| "$55 per user per month" | Copies a comparison-table header that contradicts the plan card on the same page | Card: $55/month with unlimited users. The feature matrix resolves it as a flat workspace price |
| "The entry plan caps you at 5,000 emails a month" | Borrows an entry-tier volume cap from a different vendor | 50,000 emails/mo at $55, with tiers up to 1,000,000 emails/mo at $527 annual |
| "You get 1,000–1,500 credits a month included" | Belongs to the retired plan lineup | Email includes 0 credits. Multichannel includes 400 credits per user per month |
| "Extra mailboxes are free" | True on Email, false on the plan most teams buy | $9 per email per month above the 5 senders included with each Multichannel seat |
The billing-unit decoder
Headline prices in this category are not comparable, because no two tools meter the same thing. One charges for people, one for inboxes, one for the list you uploaded, one for the people you emailed this month. Read the unit before the number.
| Billing unit | Tools that use it | What makes the bill jump | The trap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flat per workspace | Smartlead, Saleshandy, QuickMail, Emelia, lemlist Email, Meetbound | Volume tier, stored contacts or mailbox count | "Unlimited email accounts" never meant free email accounts — mailbox hosting and domains are still separate line items |
| Per seat (per user) | lemlist Multichannel, Apollo, Mailshake, Klenty (Growth/Plus), Reply.io Multichannel | Headcount, not usage | Apollo's Organization plan carries a 3-seat minimum, so $119/user/mo billed annually is really $357/mo before anyone sends anything (Apollo's pricing table does not render to automated checks — those figures are third-party, verify in a browser) |
| Per identity | La Growth Machine | Each LinkedIn account plus the mailboxes attached to it | Three identities on Pro is EUR 360/mo; five is EUR 600/mo. It scales like per-seat, and you hit it sooner |
| Per contacted prospect | Woodpecker | Every new person you email in a calendar month | $7.00 per 100 contacted prospects, with the counter reset each calendar month — an unusually big month halts sequences until the reset or an upgrade |
| Per uploaded contact | Instantly, QuickMail | The size of the list you import, whether you email it or not | The exact inverse of Woodpecker. Same word, opposite meaning — and on Instantly the uploaded-contact allowance is a standing ceiling across all campaigns, not a monthly refill |
| Per active prospect | Saleshandy | People currently live in a sequence | 2,000 active prospects on the $25/mo annual plan — it meters who is live in a sequence right now, not how many contacts you store, so a large list is fine but a large simultaneous push is not |
| Per credit | Hunter, Snov.io, Apollo, lemlist enrichment | Every enrichment, verification, phone lookup or AI call | On lemlist a verified email is 5 credits ($0.05) and a phone number is 20 ($0.20) — and the Email plan includes none |
Currency warning. Emelia (EUR 37 / EUR 97 / EUR 297), Hunter (EUR 49 / EUR 149 / EUR 299) and La Growth Machine (EUR 60 / EUR 120 / EUR 180 per identity) all price in euros. Most English-language listicles render those figures with a dollar sign. Check the currency toggle on the vendor page before you budget.
lemlist alternatives compared (August 2026 prices)
Both lemlist plans sit at the top as baselines, because "cheaper than lemlist" means two different things depending on which one you are on. Prices are entry-tier and, where a vendor publishes both, shown as monthly then annual.
| Tool | Billing unit | Price /mo (monthly · annual) | Sending inboxes at that price | LinkedIn automation | Warmup included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| lemlist Email (baseline) | Flat per workspace, metered on email volume | $69 · $55 | Unlimited senders, 50,000 emails/mo | No | Yes (lemwarm, all plans) |
| lemlist Multichannel (baseline) | Per user (seat) | $109 · $87 per user | 5 per user, then $9/email/mo | Yes | Yes (lemwarm, all plans) |
| Meetbound | Flat per month, by mailbox tier | $19.99 (month-to-month, no annual lock-in) | 3 (Starter) · 50 (Pro, $49.99) · uncapped (Agency, $119.99) | No | Yes, no per-mailbox fee |
| Smartlead | Flat per workspace | $39 · ~$32.50 | Unlimited email accounts (6,000 sends/mo at this tier) | No | Pool costs $59/mo extra below the $174 tier |
| La Growth Machine | Per identity | EUR 60 · EUR 50 per identity | 1 sending email per identity on Basic; 5 on Pro | Yes | Not published on the pricing page |
| Saleshandy | Flat, metered on active prospects | $36 · $25 | Unlimited email accounts, 2,000 active prospects and 6,000 emails/mo at this tier (mailboxes $2.99–$3.99 each/mo) | No | Yes, via TrulyInbox (separate login) |
| Reply.io | Contested — per user or per contact tier | from $49 per user (third-party, unconfirmed) | Unlimited mailboxes | Yes, ~$69/user add-on | Yes, free per mailbox |
| Emelia | Flat, no per-seat fee | EUR 37 (annual = 2 months free) | 3 mailboxes on Start; up to 50 on Grow (EUR 97) | Yes, 1 LinkedIn account on Start | Yes |
| Instantly | Flat per workspace, metered on uploaded contacts | $47 · $37.60 | Unlimited email accounts, 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails/mo at this tier | No | Yes, unlimited |
Every figure above was read off the vendor's own pricing page on 5 August 2026, and we re-check monthly. Vendors change pricing often and without notice, so confirm on the vendor page before you buy. Reply.io is the one row we could not verify first-hand — its pricing page blocks automated access and sources disagree on whether the Email Volume plan is metered per user or per contact tier, so treat that row as unconfirmed.
The 7 best lemlist alternatives
1. Meetbound
- Best for: Teams whose lemlist bill grew with headcount rather than with sending.
- Key features: Multi-step sequences with per-step delays, send windows, time zones and daily caps; rotation across every connected mailbox; A/B variants; auto-stop on reply; an in-house peer-to-peer warmup network with automatic ramp-up, auto-quarantine and a 0–100 score per mailbox; a Smart Inbox that sorts replies into 8 intents with sentiment, one-line summaries and suggested responses; Lead Discovery, Email Finder and SPF/DKIM/DMARC/MX monitoring.
- Strengths: Nobody is billed for logging in. The meter is sending mailboxes, and the tiers are wide enough that most teams never reach the second one. Warmup arrives with the plan at no per-mailbox charge — the line item that makes per-inbox pricing painful everywhere it appears. The plan price is the same number in USD, EUR and GBP, which matters if lemlist's currency toggle has ever surprised your finance team. Every reply is classified at no charge on all three plans, by Claude Haiku running on AWS Bedrock in the EU, so reply bodies never leave the region.
- Limitations: No LinkedIn automation and no dialer. This is an email-first product, so it substitutes for lemlist Email, not for lemlist Multichannel. The integration directory is smaller than the incumbents' — HMAC-signed webhooks and a documented REST API rather than a 50-app marketplace. It is a younger product than lemlist and the template community reflects that. Lead Discovery works by scraping and verifying, so there is no pre-built 600M-record index sitting behind it. And it is not a CRM: replies exit over webhooks and the API.
- Pricing: Starter $19.99/mo covers 3 sending mailboxes, Pro $49.99/mo covers 50, Agency $119.99/mo removes the cap. Month-to-month, cancel anytime, no setup fee. The trial is Starter plus 25 email-finder credits with no card. Data is metered on its own: Email Finder packs at 500/$19, 2,000/$59, 5,000/$119 and 10,000/$199, and Lead Enrichment at $250 per 1,000 credits, charged only when a result comes back.
- Why it is a strong alternative: It attacks the exact reason most people leave lemlist — a bill that scales with people rather than with sending. The axis we ranked it on is flat monthly cost for an email-only team with warmup included. If you want cheaper multichannel, this is the wrong tool: read entries 3 and 5 instead.
2. Smartlead
- Best for: Trading a headcount meter for a volume meter, and agencies that need white-label client workspaces.
- Key features: Uncapped connected email accounts on every plan, a master inbox, a deep API, client workspaces with white-labeling, and SmartServers for dedicated sending infrastructure.
- Strengths: Two of lemlist Multichannel's three cost drivers simply disappear. Nobody is charged for logging in, and nobody is charged for connecting an inbox — the invoice moves only when monthly send volume crosses a tier. For a team that hit the five-senders-per-seat ceiling and started paying $9 per extra mailbox, that is the structural fix.
- Limitations: The third cost driver does not disappear. Sends are capped hard at each tier, and Base clears only 6,000 a month — one-eighth of what lemlist Email allows for $55. Warmup is also not free at the bottom of the range. On 5 August 2026, Smartlead priced the Warmup Pool as a $59/mo add-on on its two cheapest plans, marking it free — the premium pool — only from Unlimited Smart upward. A long tail of guides, and Smartlead's own FAQ copy, still say otherwise. Get the tier confirmed in writing. Reviews split hard — 4.6/5 on G2 against 3.4/5 on Trustpilot — and the recurring themes are connectivity bugs, UX complexity, slow support and client-access charges. No LinkedIn automation, so it is a swap for lemlist Email, not for Multichannel.
- Pricing: four tiers, all flat per workspace. Base is $39/mo, or $32.50 on annual billing (17% off), covering 2,000 stored contacts and 6,000 sends a month. Pro is $94/mo ($78.30 annual) for 30,000 contacts and 90,000 sends. Unlimited Smart is $174/mo ($144.50 annual) for 150,000 sends, Unlimited Prime $379/mo ($314.60 annual) for 500,000. On top: the warmup pool at $59/mo below $174, CRM at $39/mo, client workspaces at $29/mo, SmartServers at $39 per server per month.
- Why it is a strong alternative: It answers the specific lemlist complaint that per-seat pricing punishes hiring. Price it on sends rather than sticker, though: below 6,000 emails a month it is genuinely cheap, and above 50,000 lemlist Email is the cheaper of the two.
3. La Growth Machine
- Best for: Teams leaving lemlist because multichannel got expensive, not because email did.
- Key features: LinkedIn, email, X/Twitter and calls in a single sequence; built-in waterfall enrichment; inbox rotation from Pro; HubSpot and Pipedrive sync on Ultimate; priced per identity rather than per seat.
- Strengths: The best-in-class multichannel orchestration engine in this comparison. Because an identity bundles a LinkedIn account with its sending emails, a founder-led team running one or two identities pays far less than the same motion on a per-seat plan — and enrichment is native rather than a credit bolt-on.
- Limitations: Per-identity pricing scales brutally: three identities on Pro is EUR 360/mo (EUR 4,320/yr) and five is EUR 600/mo. Feature gating is aggressive — CRM sync and X require Ultimate, inbox rotation requires Pro. Basic includes only 250 enriched leads a month and campaigns pause once you exceed it. Poor fit above roughly five reps, and no built-in lead database.
One caveat on that last figure: the Ultimate row on the pricing page renders at EUR 120, the same as Pro, which looks like a template fault — EUR 180 is the number consistent with the site's own EUR 50 / EUR 100 / EUR 150 annual ladder and its "2 months free" annual discount. Confirm it in a browser. Agency needs 6 identities minimum; Custom starts at EUR 150/mo on a 6-month commitment.
- Why it is a strong alternative: It is the only tool here that genuinely replaces what lemlist Multichannel does, at a unit that suits small teams better. For one or two identities it undercuts lemlist meaningfully; past five, run the arithmetic first.
4. Saleshandy
- Best for: The lowest sticker price a lemlist Email customer can move to without giving up uncapped senders.
- Key features: No cap on connected email accounts at any tier, a built-in Lead Finder, a unified inbox and A-Z variant testing from Pro, white-label and SSO at Scale, and placement testing sold as its own product.
- Strengths: At $25/mo on annual billing it is the lowest entry price in this comparison that still lets you connect as many sending accounts as you want, and seats are free. Against lemlist Multichannel that is two cost drivers removed at once.
- Limitations: The meter is active prospects — people live in a sequence right now — and 2,000 of them fills faster than a list of 2,000 suggests, because a single large push consumes the allowance in an afternoon. Warmup is bundled but not native: it is delivered by TrulyInbox, a sibling product with its own login, which reviewers cite as friction on G2 (roughly 54 mentions, behind UI and UX at 115 and missing features at 88). No dialer, no LinkedIn, and none of lemlist's conditional personalization.
- Pricing: Outreach Starter $25/mo billed annually ($300/yr) or $36/mo monthly — 2,000 active prospects, 6,000 emails/mo. Pro $69/mo annual ($99 monthly) — 30,000 active prospects, 150,000 emails/mo. Scale $139/mo annual ($199 monthly). Scale Plus $209/mo annual ($299 monthly). Budget separately: mailboxes at $2.99–$3.99 each per month, placement testing from $34 to $199/mo, verification at $19 per 5,000 addresses, dialer credits at $29 per 1,000, AI credits at $10 per 5,000.
- Why it is a strong alternative: It is the cleanest downgrade path. If lemlist Email was more platform than you were using and you send under 6,000 a month, this halves the bill without reintroducing a per-seat or per-inbox charge.
5. Reply.io
- Best for: Multichannel teams that also need a dialer and AI SDR agents.
- Key features: Email, LinkedIn, SMS, WhatsApp and calling in one sequence; AI SDR agents; unlimited mailboxes and free per-mailbox warmup on the email plan; an agency plan with unlimited users and clients.
- Strengths: The broadest channel coverage of the per-seat group. If lemlist Multichannel was close but you needed calling to be first-class rather than an integration, Reply.io covers more of the motion in one product than anything else here.
- Limitations: Cost escalates sharply — LinkedIn (about $69/user) and calling (about $29/user) are paid add-ons on top of a per-seat plan. Users report an undisclosed three-month minimum on advertised entry prices, unexpected charges and difficulty cancelling. Reliability complaints include follow-ups skipping steps or sending twice, and LinkedIn automation has led to account restrictions for some users.
- Pricing (unconfirmed): Email Volume from $49 per user per month, Multichannel from $89 per user per month, Agency from $210/mo billed annually. We flag these as unconfirmed: reply.io returns HTTP 403 to automated checks, and sources disagree on whether Email Volume is metered per user or per contact tier — Reply's own blog says per user, third parties say contact-tiered. Verify in a browser before budgeting.
- Why it is a strong alternative: A lateral move on billing unit — you are still paying per seat — but an upgrade on channel coverage. Choose it when the reason you are leaving lemlist is capability, not price.
6. Emelia
- Best for: European SMBs, freelancers and small agencies that want email plus LinkedIn with no per-seat fee.
- Key features: Flat pricing metered on mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts, unlimited email sending, unlimited LinkedIn actions, warmup included, and optional credits for finding and verification.
- Strengths: The cheapest real email-plus-LinkedIn combination in this list, and credits are genuinely optional — you do not need them to send email or run LinkedIn sequences. Strong footing in the French and wider EU market, on a flat price that does not care how many people log in.
- Limitations: Reporting is shallow — opens, clicks, replies and bounces, with no deep attribution. Campaigns are linear: stop-on-reply exists, but there is no branching on opens or clicks. Managing many mailboxes needs admin controls the product lacks, integrations require Zapier or Make below the Scale plan, and the lighter review-site footprint means less independent validation.
- Pricing (EUR, not USD): Start EUR 37/mo — 3 mailboxes, 1 LinkedIn account, unlimited email sending, unlimited LinkedIn actions, warmup, 500 credits. Grow EUR 97/mo — up to 50 mailboxes, 5 LinkedIn accounts, 1,000 credits. Scale EUR 297/mo — unlimited mailboxes, up to 20 LinkedIn accounts, unlimited API, 5,000 credits. Annual billing gives 2 months free; optional credits from EUR 19/mo per 1,000 units.
- Why it is a strong alternative: The closest thing to "lemlist Multichannel without the seats" at the small end. One EUR 37 subscription replaces one lemlist seat plus its LinkedIn allowance — if you can live with linear sequences.
7. Instantly
- Best for: Teams that want genuinely unlimited mailboxes, unlimited seats and unlimited warmup on every tier, with a large lead database available in the same account.
- Strengths and limitations in one line each. Strength: the unlimited claims hold — unlimited email accounts, unlimited warmup and unlimited users on all Outreach plans, including the $47 entry tier, which is the cleanest answer there is to lemlist Multichannel's five-senders-per-seat ceiling. Limitation: sending is only one of up to five separate Instantly subscriptions, and the "uploaded contacts" allowance is a standing ceiling across all campaigns rather than a monthly refill. No LinkedIn automation at any tier.
- Pricing: Growth $47/mo ($37.60 billed annually) — 1,000 uploaded contacts, 5,000 emails/mo. Hypergrowth $97/mo ($77.60 annual). Light Speed $358/mo ($286.30 annual). Credits, CRM and Inbox Placement are billed separately on top.
- Why it is a strong alternative: If lemlist's inbox allowance was the constraint, Instantly removes it completely — but price the whole stack, not the first tab. We break the full bill down in our guide to Instantly alternatives.
When you should just keep lemlist
The corrected pricing changes the conclusion, so this section is load-bearing rather than polite. On sticker price alone, lemlist Email at $55/mo is still more than Saleshandy at $25 or Smartlead at about $32.50. But those two entry tiers cap at 6,000 sends a month, and lemlist Email at $55 buys 50,000. Match the volume and the ranking inverts: on annual billing you need Saleshandy Pro at $69/mo (150,000 emails) or Smartlead Pro at $78.30/mo (90,000 sends) to clear 50,000 a month — both above lemlist, and none of the three charging by seat. So for an email-only team of any size sending 6,000–50,000 a month, lemlist Email is genuinely competitive. Almost nobody on page one runs that comparison, because they all still believe the Email plan is per seat.
- Personalization has no real equivalent elsewhere. Liquid-syntax conditional logic with fallbacks, dynamic images that insert a prospect's name, logo or website screenshot, personalized videos and landing pages — every one of them ticked on all three plans, the $55 tier included. If those campaigns work, switching means rewriting them. Copy still matters more than the mechanism, right down to your email sign-offs that get replies.
- lemwarm and the Deliverability Hub are bundled free on all plans. Standalone lemwarm is $29 per email address per month, so bundling is worth real money past two or three inboxes.
- The lead database is included on every plan, not sold as a second subscription. lemlist ticks it across all three columns, alongside unlimited contacts and unlimited LinkedIn enrichment. Size it carefully, though: /pricing advertises "650M+" while lemlist's own lead-database page says "600M+" — the vendor quotes two different numbers for the same asset.
- Localization. Interface in EN, FR, DE and ES, with billing in USD, EUR or GBP — unusual in this category.
- No developer paywall. API, CLI and MCP access are ticked on all three plans. Several competitors gate API access behind a mid tier. There is also a quarterly billing option at 10% off.
Where lemlist genuinely struggles
Sourced and dated, not vibes. The strongest recent complaint is about reporting accuracy, not price.
I neve [sic] met an onboarding person until I complained hard after 5 months of reporting that made no sense - turns out the reporting is literally unusable - lead scores from call analysis, open and clicks are all false.
— Paul F., CEO, Management Consulting — Capterra, 14 May 2026, rated 1.0/5
- Reporting accuracy is the most consistently repeated functional complaint across years, not just in the review above — earlier reviewers call reporting confusing and ask to build lists from report segments.
- Per-seat cost with no volume discount until roughly 20 seats, per a Capterra reviewer quoting a $60-per-seat rate — one review, not a vendor-published policy, so treat the 20-seat threshold as unconfirmed. Per-seat cost itself is a repeated theme across several Capterra reviews.
- Support hours and technical depth. Reviewers report waiting one to four days for a 15-minute slot, and that support "only relays what their technical people tell them". Balance that against Capterra's Customer Service subscore of 4.6/5 — a vocal minority, not the median.
- Feature sprawl. One French reviewer: "le produit est en train de devenir une machine a gaz" — the product is becoming an over-engineered contraption. Consistent with AI agents, signals, calling, WhatsApp, MCP and a CLI arriving inside about 18 months.
- CRM integration depth and a glitchy Chrome extension are recurring gripes, alongside LinkedIn automation that carries an account-restriction risk lemlist acknowledges in its own Academy but does not indemnify.
The balance line matters: lemlist is 4.6/5 on Capterra across 387 reviews, with Value for Money also at 4.6. It is not a badly reviewed product. The complaints cluster on cost at scale, reporting and support depth — not on the core sending engine.
The costs that show up after you switch
Budget for these before you compare monthly prices, because they land in the first billing cycle.
- Mailbox hosting. You leave behind $9 per email per month above the 5 senders per Multichannel seat — but mailbox hosting is a separate line item almost everywhere you land (Saleshandy prices its own at $2.99–$3.99 per mailbox per month).
- WhatsApp at $20 per user per month may have no equivalent at all in the tool you move to.
- Credits. The Email plan includes zero, so any enrichment you were doing was already out of pocket — price the same volume in the new tool before you switch.
- Your suppression and unsubscribe list. Export it first. Losing it is a compliance failure, not an inconvenience.
- Dynamic images and personalized landing pages have no direct equivalent in most alternatives. Budget rewriting those campaigns rather than porting them.
- Re-warming and overlap. Mailboxes moving platform need a ramp period, so do not cut total volume to zero on switch day — and run both tools for one billing cycle so a broken sequence does not cost a month of pipeline.
What your next tool must support in 2026
Sender requirements tightened before your tool choice ever mattered. Use this as a checklist when you demo:
- SPF, DKIM and aligned DMARC on every sending domain. A policy of p=none is acceptable; missing alignment is not.
- RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe headers, not just a footer link.
- Spam complaints under 0.10%, with 0.30% as the hard fail.
- Hard bounces under roughly 2% — which is a list-quality problem, not a tool problem.
- The 5,000-messages-per-day bulk-sender threshold is counted cumulatively across a primary domain and all of its subdomains, so spreading the same volume over more subdomains does not put you back underneath it.
Ask each vendor which of these it surfaces in-product rather than leaving to you: DNS health checks, a real complaint-rate figure, and a genuine one-click unsubscribe header. Which rule set binds you in the first place depends on what you are sending — cold outreach and opt-in email marketing sit under different obligations, and no tool makes that call for you. And if you are also weighing a separate warmup subscription, read our analysis of whether warmup still helps in 2026 before you add another line item.
Which lemlist alternative should you choose?
Match the shape of your team, not the size of your ambition.
- Solo founder, email only. Meetbound Starter at $19.99/mo for 3 mailboxes with warmup included, or Saleshandy at $25/mo annual if you want unlimited email accounts from day one.
- 2–5 person email-only team. Run the numbers before you move — between roughly 6,000 and 50,000 emails a month, lemlist Email at $55/mo flat may already beat what you would pay elsewhere. Below 6,000 sends a month, Smartlead Base at about $32.50 annual or Saleshandy Starter at $25 annual are cheaper. If you want more mailboxes on a flat bill with warmup and AI reply triage attached, Meetbound Pro is $49.99/mo for 50 mailboxes.
- 5+ seat multichannel SDR team. La Growth Machine if you run one to three identities; Reply.io if calling and AI agents matter more than billing unit. Above five identities, re-run the arithmetic — per-identity pricing catches up with per-seat fast.
- Agency with client workspaces. Smartlead, for the white-label layer and $29/mo client workspaces, or Meetbound Agency at $119.99/mo for unlimited mailboxes on a flat bill.
- EU or French-market team. Emelia from EUR 37/mo for email plus LinkedIn, or La Growth Machine for LinkedIn-first multichannel. Both bill in euros, which removes FX drift from your budget.
- Still comparing Instantly. Price the whole module stack, not the entry tab, then come back to this table.
Meetbound bundles multi-step campaigns, in-house peer-to-peer inbox warmup and an AI Smart Inbox that classifies every reply into 8 intents — on one flat monthly price by mailbox tier, from $19.99, with no per-mailbox warmup fee. Start free on the Starter plan with 25 email-finder credits and no credit card. See Meetbound pricing. If you need LinkedIn, calls or a dialer in the same sequence, be honest with yourself and pick La Growth Machine or Reply.io instead — Meetbound is email-first.
Key takeaways
- lemlist Email is flat, not per seat. $69/mo monthly, $55/mo billed annually, unlimited users and unlimited email senders. Any guide quoting it "per user" is repeating an error on lemlist's own comparison-table header.
- The meter is emails per month, not inboxes. 50,000/mo at $55, rising to 1,000,000/mo at $527 billed annually.
- Credits are the hidden line item. Zero included on Email, 400 per user per month on Multichannel — about 80 verified emails. A rep prospecting 1,000 contacts a month adds roughly $50 per seat.
- Multichannel is where per-seat cost bites. $87 per user per month annual, five inboxes per seat, $9 per extra email per month, WhatsApp a $20 per user add-on.
- Pick on billing unit, not sticker price. Per workspace, per seat, per identity, per contacted prospect, per uploaded contact and per credit are six different bills wearing the same price tag.
FAQ
Is lemlist's Email plan per user or per workspace?
Per workspace. The plan card on lemlist.com/pricing reads $69/mo monthly, $55/mo billed annually, with unlimited users and unlimited email senders, metered on 50,000 emails per month. A comparison table lower on the same page says "From $55 /user /mo" — that header contradicts the card and the feature matrix.
How much does lemlist actually cost per user?
Only the Multichannel plan is charged per user: $109 per user per month billed monthly, $87 per user per month billed annually. The Email plan has no per-user charge at all. Five reps on Multichannel annual is $435 per month, or $5,220 a year, before enrichment credits and add-ons.
Does lemlist charge extra for additional mailboxes or senders?
On the Email plan, no — email senders are unlimited. On Multichannel you get five sending inboxes per seat, and lemlist's own pricing-page tooltip prices extras at $9 per email per month. Forty inboxes across five seats therefore costs $435 plus $135, or $570 per month on annual billing.
Does lemlist have a free plan?
No. lemlist offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, giving full access to the Multichannel plan. Its own FAQ states that after the trial you cannot send new campaigns but keep access to your account, campaigns and leads. There is no free-forever tier.
Which lemlist alternative includes LinkedIn outreach?
La Growth Machine runs LinkedIn, email, X and calls in one sequence, priced from EUR 60 per identity per month. Emelia bundles LinkedIn actions from EUR 37 per month flat. Reply.io covers the widest channel set but sells LinkedIn as a per-user add-on on top of a per-seat plan.
What is the cheapest lemlist alternative?
On sticker price, Meetbound Starter at $19.99 a month for three mailboxes. On price per sending inbox, Saleshandy at $25 annual or Smartlead at $32.50 annual, both uncapped. Note the volume caps: those two entry tiers stop at 6,000 emails a month, against lemlist Email's 50,000.
Can I migrate my lemlist campaigns and sequences to another tool?
Copy is portable; automation is not. Export sequences, templates, leads and above all your suppression and unsubscribe list, then rebuild steps in the new tool. Budget rework for liquid-syntax conditionals, dynamic images and personalized landing pages, which have no direct equivalent in most alternatives.
Is lemwarm included with lemlist?
Yes. lemlist's pricing FAQ states lemwarm and its deliverability protections are included in all plans. Standalone lemwarm still sells separately at $29 per email address per month ($24 annual). Cancelling lemlist does not cancel a separate lemwarm subscription — see our roundup of lemwarm alternatives and warmup tools.
